You know the methods of substance abuse and addiction treatment.

You are able to apply evidence-based knowledge in mental health, substance abuse and crisis care.
You are able to apply information about most common mental health disorders and psychiatric illnesses in nursing.

Study forms and methods
The course is mainly implemented as time-free online teaching for the theory (4 ECTS), but it also includes time-bound distance learning sessions. Participation in distance learning sessions is voluntary. The course involves a voluntary start meeting for everyone in the team. Teacher guidance is available in connection with distance learning sessions and by contacting the teacher on your campus by email.
Studying the theory section takes place in a Learn environment. Access to the course platform opens on the start date of the course. Distance learning sessions, dates and topics are described in the course's Learn.
Studying progresses by section and learning is independently rhythmized by tasks and repeated by learning tasks..
The course consists of theory studies (4 ECTS) in addition to preclinical practice (1 ECTS). The clinical training section is carried out by campus and a more detailed description of the parts of the implementation is given in the section without campus.
RDI and work-related cooperation
Working life-oriented nursing activities are practiced in small groups on a clinical training day.
Clinical training day can include simulations, expert meetings and study visits.
Timing of exams and assignments
At the end of each section, a learning task that repeats learning and competence is completed. The course ends at the time indicated in the implementation data, by which time all learning tasks and other tasks related to the completion of the course must be completed. The course includes a final exam at the Exam.
