Objective

You know where to acquitre reliable information about chemical legislation and the properties of chemicals. You know the basic safety rules and methods of chemical laboratory work. You know the basic chemical laboratory equipment and accessories.

Content

What are the safety requirements for handling chemicals, considering their harmful chemical and physical properties to health and environment? Where do you acquire information about chemical legislation and the properties of chemicals? How do you do chemical analysis in practice? What are the basic principles in safe laboratory work?

Evaluation

You are able to
a. use professional vocabulary systematically
b. look for information in the key information sources of the field
c. identify interrelated tasks
e. use the key models, methods, software and techniques of the professional field.

Course material
