Objective

You can plan, implement and evaluate a client- and goal-oriented physiotherapy process for different target groups considering evidence-based methods and professional recommendations.
You can justify the choices and methods related to the physiotherapy process using professional concepts and knowledge base.
You can act consistently and understand the overall context of tasks in varying client situations.
You can take professional ethical principles and regulations into account in your choices and actions.

Content

How do you consider client and resource orientation in the different stages of the physiotherapy process?
How do you consider the special features of the rehabilitation client's illness or injury in the planning, implementation and evaluation of physiotherapy?
How is a client-oriented physiotherapy plan made?
What should be considered when setting physiotherapy goals?
How do justify your choices in different stages of the physiotherapy process by applying the physiotherapy knowledge base?
How do you consider the operating environments, their accessibility and possibilities in supporting individual rehabilitation?
How do you consider the ethical guidelines for physiotherapists in your practice?

Evaluation

Entry-level competence

Students can,
a. use professional vocabulary systematically.

e. use the key models, methods, software and techniques of the professional field.

Qualifications

You are familiar with the Finnish rehabilitation service system, and you know the basics of creating a client-specific rehabilitation plan, as well as the regulations and the methods used in physiotherapy.
You recognize the individual and life course factors affecting the client's rehabilitation process.
You can observe and assess the client’s basic movement and functional capacity with the key assessment methods and meters used in physiotherapy.
You know and understand the professional ethical guidelines for physiotherapists.
