You can assess the political, legal, economic and cultural environment of countries and regions and thus analyse different market areas.

You are able to demonstrate an understanding of different internationalisation strategies and market entry modes.

You are familiar with the rights and obligations of sellers and buyers in the sale of goods nationally and internationally.

You understand the importance of protecting your intellectual property and know how to avoid infringing IPR rights.

What are the main challenges companies operating internationally face in terms of different political/legal/economic/cultural environments?

What are the main internationalisation strategies and market entry modes, and how to assess their risks?

How is a binding sales contract made, and what are the rights and obligations of the seller and buyer in the sale of tangible goods?

How should intellectual property rights be taken into account in marketing?

Students can

Course material

Study materials are provided by the teacher in class or via the Learn platform.

Study forms and methods

• The course is carried out by way of contact teaching on XX campus according to a weekly schedule. Remote participation is not possible. As a rule, scheduled contact lessons are not recorded nor duplicated by online lectures.
• The teacher provides guidance during and after contact lessons.
• The assessed assignments are completed independently and in groups.
• Feedback is provided by different methods, in writing and/or orally.

RDI and work-related cooperation

Company visits are made and/or simulation exercises are performed.
The assignments are based on the needs of operators in the field.

Timing of exams and assignments

An assignment must be completed at the end of each section of the course. An exam must be taken in the last scheduled lesson.

The course entails weekly assignments. A project assignment must be completed in a small group by the end of the course.

The end date of the course is presented in the course details. By this date, the student must submit all assignments, take the required exams and meet all other conditions set for an approved course completion.

Student workload

• 1 ECTS credits equals 27 hours of work by the student.
• In a 5-credit course, the student's total maximum workload is approximately 135 hours including lessons, group work and independent study.

Assessment methods and criteria

The student’s performance is assessed with reference to the learning objectives and assessment criteria of the course. The completion of the course requires the graded exercises to be completed with a passing grade.
