Objective
Knowledge and understanding of and proficiency in:
- exploit and coordinate all available skills, information, experience and resources so that team will reach set goals and create safe operational environment on board in all conditions

Evaluation
Students can
- use professional vocabulary and concepts in an expert way in different situations
- work as team members in working life expert duties and identify and describe the problems of the professional field
- promote teams’ goal-oriented operation
- apply critically the ethical principles of the professional field in different situations
In addition, competence evaluation according to STCW code tables A-II/1, A-II/2, A-III/1, A-III/2 and A-III/6 columns 4 are used:
- application of leadership and teamworking skills
- the crew are allocated duties and informed of expected standards of work and behaviour in a manner appropriate to the individuals concerned
- operations are planned and resources are allocated as needed in correct priority to perform necessary tasks
- communication is clearly and unambiguously given and received
- effective leadership behaviours are demonstrated
