Objective

You are familiar with the stress and exceptional situations in the sector from the perspective of different customer groups and customer situations.

You are able to manage situations involving the use of force.

You are able to apply the necessary management of the use of force in emergency situations for yourself and, where appropriate, for your subordinates.

You are able to master the basics of the use of force in the private security sector and act appropriately in situations involving the use of force.

You are able to supervise the use of force by your superiors.

You work fluently with other authorities and understand the legal responsibilities involved.

What are the rules on the use of force for guards and security guards employed in the private security sector?

How do you maintain your company's employees' use of force skills?

How do you, as a manager, monitor the use of force by your employees?

How do you manage the use of force in a real situation?

Evaluation

Students can

Study forms and methods

• Toteutus sisältää xx lähiopetuskertaa 3 kampuksella ja lisäksi yhden verkko-opetuskerran.
• Opintojakso etenee ryhmän yhteisen aikataulun mukaisesti, joka julkaistaan Learnissa opintojakson aloituspäivänä
• Opettajan ohjausta saatavilla lähiopetuksen yhteydessä ja sähköpostitse tarvittaessa
• Opintojaksolla hyödynnetään erilaisia palautteenantotapoja. Niitä voivat olla esimerkiksi kirjallinen ja suullinen palaute. Lisäksi voidaan hyödyntää myös vertaispalautteenantoa.

Timing of exams and assignments

Opintojakso päättyy toteutuksen tiedoissa ilmoitettuna aikana, johon mennessä opiskelija on palauttanut suoritukseen vaadittavat harjoitustehtävät, suorittanut mahdolliset tentit ja täyttänyt muut hyväksytyn suorituksen vaatimukset. Opintojakson eri osioihin sisältyy yksilö- ja ryhmätehtäviä, joiden palautusajat ilmoitetaan osioiden alussa.

Student workload

• 1 op vastaa noin 27 tuntia opiskelijan työtä. Työmäärä kuitenkin riippuu opiskelutaidoista ja aiemmasta osaamisesta.
• 5 op:n opintojaksolla opiskelijan työmäärä on n. 135 t, josta n. 10 t on työjärjestyksen mukaisesti luentoja ja ryhmätyöskentelyä opettajan ohjauksessa sekä n. 125 t itsenäisesti ja ryhmässä työstettäviä oppimistehtäviä.

Assessment methods and criteria

Arviointi tehdään suhteessa opintojakson osaamistavoitteisiin ja arviointikriteereihin. Opintojakson hyväksytty suorittaminen edellyttää oppimistehtävien ja tenttien tekemistä hyväksytyllä arvioinnilla. Opintojakso arvioidaan 1-5.
