Objective

You understand the basic concepts of bio-based materials and their fundamental properties.

You can use bio-based materials, such as cellulose, starch, and natural fiber composites, in product concepts.

You can utilize wood materials in various applications, like furniture and small items.

You identify various plant-based fibers and their potential uses in textile, paper, and composite materials.

You can assess the principles of sustainable development and apply them in the manufacturing of bio-based materials, emphasizing environmental friendliness and recyclability.

Content

What are the basic concepts of bio-based materials, and what are their key properties?

How can bio-based materials, especially cellulose-based, starch-based, and natural fiber-based materials, be developed?

What applications and characteristics are associated with the use of wood materials?

What are the types of plant-based fibers, and what opportunities do they offer in textile, paper, and composite materials?

How are sustainable development principles considered in the manufacturing of bio-based materials, especially from the environmental friendliness and recycling perspective?

Evaluation
