Objective
You recognize the basic phenomena and the most important quantities, units, definitions and laws related to thermal expansion, heat absorption, phase transitions and heat transfer. You are familiar with the laws of thermodynamics.
You are familiar with the basic functions, quantities and terms of thermodynamics. You can interpret diagrams and tables of substances. You can determine the mass and energy balance of the stationary process. You understand the basic types of heat and power plants and different steam and gas circulation processes.
You can apply the concepts to solve engineering problems.
You can study phenomena and determine quantities based on experimental data.
Content
What are the basic phenomena and the most important quantities, units, definitions and laws related to thermal expansion, heat absorption, phase transitions and heat transfer? What are the laws of thermodynamics?
What is thermodynamics and what are the most essential quantities and terms and how are these used in designing of processes? What are steam and gas circulation processes and how does a thermal power plant work?
