Objective
You are familiar with the causes of climate change and its likely consequences. You know the contents of recent climate agreements and with what tools the mankind aims to mitigate global warming. You are able to define what risk assessment is and how it is used in practice. You know what management tools are available for risk evaluation.
Content
How do climate policies work?
Which risk assessment and management methods are used in hazard identification?
How is environmental risk assessment applied in the water sector?
What are the national responsibilities for adaptation strategies?
What is the best risk management approach for assessing adaptation to changing flood and drought risks in global and local situations?
Evaluation
Students can
a) use professional vocabulary and concepts in an expert way in different situations.
b) evaluate information sources critically.
c) work as team members in working life expert duties and identify and describe the problems of the professional field.
e) choose appropriate models, methods, software and techniques according to the purpose and justify these choices.
