Clinical practice I (10 cr)

Objective

You understand how podiatric processes work in working life.
You are able to counsel clients individually as part of podiatric processes.
You can consider clients’ diseases, medication, functional ability when planning and performing podiatric processes.
You can support clients’ participation in promoting foot healt according to their ability to function in their own living environment.
You collect practical experience of the treatment principles, methods and clinical practices of podiatry.
You become familiar with the professional environment and learn about multidisciplinary cooperation with other specialists.

Evaluation

Students can
- use professional vocabulary systematically.
- look for information in the key information sources of the field.
- identify interrelated tasks.
- work together with clients, users and target groups.
- use the key models, methods, software and techniques of the professional field.
- justify their actions according to the ethical principles of the professional field.

RDI and work-related cooperation

Harjoittelu on ajoitettu viikoille 16-21, mutta jokainen opiskelija voi edetä siinä oman hopsin mukaisesti sovitusti.

Student workload

Työskentelymäärä on 35h / viikko, jonka lisäksi opiskelijalle on varattu jokaiselle viikolle 5h itsenäisten oppimistehtävien tekemiseen. Näistä opiskelijan työmääräksi muodostuu 40h / viikko.
