Objective

You manage the podiatric needs and care of special groups and you are able to evaluate and follow the client’s results in the podiatric process.
You understand the principles of treatment of foot ulcers and the different stages of client care process.
You can give individual guidance to the client, taking into account the her/his overall well-being and home care circumstances.
You understand the importance of footwear, special aids and offloading.
You understand the importance and meaning of multi-professional collaboration, both from the client’s and the medical staff's perspective.

How podiatric services take place in clients with special needs in the hospital?
How do you assess the results of treatment?
What are the principles of treatment of foot ulcers and the various stages of the client’s care process?
What is client-oriented guidance?
What is the importance of footwear, aids and offloading in podiatry?
What are the benefits of multi-professional co-operation to the client and the medical staff?

Evaluation

Students can
