Objective

Ethics and professionality in nursing
• you are able to assess and develop your own work and take responsibility for your actions

Clinical nursing
• you are able to perform the main nursing procedures and diagnostic tests as part of the overall patient care
• you are able to evaluate the patient’s need of care based on appropriate clinical and physiological assessment, prioritize the needs, and document them in compliance with structurally coherent classification
• you understand the principles of and are able to explain the significance of infection control
• you understand the onset mechanisms of diseases and the resulting changes in the body
• you are able to integrate nutrition therapy and education in co-operation with a multiprofessional network of experts
• you are able to plan, administer and evaluate the pharmacological treatment of various client groups
• you are able to provide nursing care to patients with a various range of diseases

Evidence-based practice and decision making
• you are able to evaluate the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and assess nursing interventions according to the decision making process
• you are able to utilize multidisciplinary evidence-based knowledge in the nursing process in different environments

Patient education competence
• you are able to plan and implement patient education in a client- and group-oriented manner
• you are able to use client-oriented patient education methods appropriate to the situation
