Practical training 1 (15 cr)

Objective

You deepen your skills with the assignments related to your study field and complement your studies.
You apply theoretical knowledge in practice and develop your readiness to the independent working.
You identify your own competences which require developing.
You learn to understand the rules of the working world and how the organization and the work community operate.

Content

You look for a training place relevant to your own career path.
You carry out assignments related to the field of your studies (such as design, manufacture and customer service).
You report on the training according to given instructions.

Evaluation

After the practical training period you are able to
a) use different channels in job search
b) apply theoretical knowledge in the basic tasks in the field of your studies
c) act constructively in the work community
d) report on the training according to instructions.

Study forms and methods

Xamk tarjoaa opiskelijoilleen mahdollisuuden suorittaa opintojaan joustavasti eri elämän tilanteita mukaillen. Opiskelijoille on tarjolla kolme oppimisväylää: työviikkopohjainen oppimisväylä, opintoja nopeuttava oppimisväylä sekä työssäkäyntiin integroitu oppimisväylä.

Assessment methods and criteria

Hajoittelun päätyttyä opiskelija toimittaa harjoittelulomakkeet harjoittelukoordinaattorille:
- Työharjoittelusopimus
- Työharjoittelun toteuttaminen
- Työharjoittelun arviointi ja palaute (työnantaja)

Kun opiskelija on palauttanut lomakkeet, ne toimitetaan tarkistuksen jälkeen opintosihteerille, joka merkitsee opintopistemäärän ja suoritusmerkinnän H.

You can begin the practical training once you have acquired the basic know-how and skills necessary for a successful training period and development of your competence.
