Objective
You can make heat demand calculations and design heating systems in buildings according to Finnish National Building Code.
1.You can use consistently professional concepts related to heat demand calculations and heating systems in buildings.
2.You can understand and describe heating systems in buildings and the range of use of different types of heating systems.
3.You can calculate heat demand of buildings according to D5 National Building Code. You can define and select suitable heat emitters and heat sources which meet the requirements of good indoor climate and energy efficiency in buildings.
Content
How are heat demands for heating systems calculated in different spaces and in whole buildings?
What kind of parts does the heating system consist of and what are the functions of all parts?
With what kind of ways of heating, parts of heating systems and heat sources can hot water heating be implemented in buildings?
With what kind of methods, practices and designers' cooperation can the requirements for heating be achieved?
What are authorities' requirements for calculations and documents which meet the requirements?
Evaluation
Students can
a) use professional vocabulary and concepts in an expert way in different situations.
c) identify interrelated tasks.
e) use the key models, methods, software and techniques of the professional field.
Evaluation scale
1-5
