Objective

You can describe the role of ventilation and the operating principles of different ventilation systems.

You can identify the requirements for ventilation systems based on the planned type of use and occupancy of buildings.

You are able to evaluate the dimensioning of ventilation, the functioning of the systems and the importance of maintenance for indoor air quality.

You know the regulations related to ventilation in different kind of buildings in different eras.

What are the most typical ventilation systems and their most common problems?

How do differences in pressure affect the flow of pollutants in buildings?

How can the operation of ventilation systems be determined by measurements?

What are the most common maintenance and service activities required by different kind of ventilation systems?
