When the student has passed the course, he/she will be able to:
- supervise and manage safe (according to pressure equipment directive and environment regulations) and economical use of power plant steam boilers
- to explain the working principles related to fuel, air, flue gas, water, and steam processes of power plant steam boilers and the structure of main components
- to calculate material and energy balances and make a technical design for a power plant steam boiler
