You learn how to use the essential methods of development work and apply creative operations models.

What are the essential methods of development work?

What are the principles and application of the creative operations models?

How to promote creativity, innovation and productivity at individual and team level?

How to analyse business opportunities of an innovation?

How to apply future research methods in the analysis of new business opportunities?

What are the principles and methods of developing and evaluating new innovative ideas?

How to plan and operate the user-driven innovation process?

Materials

Materials will be published in Learn. Cases, practical tools and creative methods will be presented through applied theory and multiple practical exercises. RDI tasks will form another part of the course.

Teaching methods

The course is mainly based on the balance of group cooperation and individual work.

Employer connections

The course topics and learning tasks are related to RDI. The course aims at developing students' individual and group innovation competences.

Exam schedules

There will be an exam (i.e., a concept test) and RDI project task(s).

International connections

The course is based on the international framework of innovation and innovation competences. RDI cooperation will be made at the international level. International guest experts are expected.

Student workload

5 ECTS is equivalent to 135 hours of student work. The course will include both individual work and group work.

The course content will be presented in the first class.

1-5

Assessment methods and criteria

The course will be assessed on a 1-5 scale, where 1 is "fair" and the lowest acceptable grade and 5 is "excellent" and the highest grade.

The course overall assessment is based on the RDI part and an exam.
