Kurssimateriaalit ja kotitehtävät toimitetaan (pääosin) Learnin kautta. Materiaaliin sisältyy erilaisia harjoitustehtäviä, tukimateriaalia ja tutoriaaleja. Opiskelija tarvitsee Adoben ohjelmiston kotitehtävien tekemiseen, joka hankkimalla ne kotiin tai tekemällä tehtävät kampuksella.
Tunneilla käydyistä asioista ei pääsääntöisesti tehdä erillistä materiaalipakettia etäoppimiskäyttöön. Toisin sanoen, oppilaat tekevät tarvittaessa muistiinpanoja tunnilla, ja poissaolo tilanteessa oppilas on itse velvollinen selvittämään tunnin sisällön (esimerkiksi kysymällä ryhmän muilta opiskelijoilta).

Osallistut oppitunneille annetun aikataulun mukaan. Oppituntiharjoitusten lisäksi tehdään erikseen annettavia, itsenäisesti työstettäviä kotitehtäviä.
Jos sinulla on vastaava aiempi opintosuoritus (ts. korkeakoulutasoinen kurssisuoritus), olet opiskellut vuoden esim. kansanopistossa ja sinulla on työnäytteet esitettävissä tai sinulla on kurssia tasoa vastaava tai ylittävä osaaminen esim. työkokemuksen kautta ja portfolio esiteltävissä voit halutessasi pyrkiä hyväksilukemaan kurssin. Tästä on kuitenkin ensin keskusteltava kurssin opettajan kanssa.
Tentit ja muut määräajat
- kurssitehtävät on palautettava ajallaan Learnin palautuskansioihin (tai erikseen ilmoitettavaan paikkaan)
- jos tehtävä ei palaudu ajoissa, tehtävä voidaan palauttaa kurssin lopussa. Tällöin tehtävästä ei kuitenkaan saa palautetta
- jos opiskelija on estynyt toimittamasta tehtäviä ajallaan, on mahdollisesta lykkäyksestä neuvoteltava opettajan kanssa hyvissä ajoin
- jos kaikkia tehtäviä ei ole palautettu kurssin päättyessä tai erikseen sovittuun päivämäärään mennessä, kurssisuoritus arvioidaan palautettujen tehtävien perusteella (pääsääntöisesti 70% palautuksista ja mahdolliset lopputyöt vaaditaan läpipääsyyn). Jos kurssin päättyessä riittäviä tehtäviä ei ole palautettu, voi oppilas palauttaa kaikki tehtävät 1 vuoden sisällä kurssin päättymisestä erikseen sovittuna ajankohtana. Tällä tehtävistä ei anneta erillistä palautetta.
Opiskelijan työmäärä
Luokassa opiskelija osallistuu tehtäviin harjoituksiin, ja saa säännöllistä palautetta ja apua. Luokkajan ulkopuolella opiskelija suorittaa itsenäisesti kotitehtäviä.

- Indesignin perusteet (sivuasetukset, masterit/parentit, paragraph styles, fontit, tulostus-/julkaisuasetukset, taitto, kuvatyökalut yms.)
- Photoshopin perusteita (valintatyökalut, maskaus, layerit, tehostelayerit yms.)
- erilaiset kuvaformaatit
- vektori- ja rasterigrafiikan erot
- tulostuksessa ja digitaalisessa julkaisussa huomioonotettavat asiat

Kurssimateriaalit toimitetaan oppituntien aikana Teamsin tai Learnin kautta. Kotitehtävät toimitetaan (pääosin) Learnin kautta.
Materiaaliin sisältyy erilaisia harjoitustehtäviä, tukimateriaalia ja tutoriaaleja.
Tunneilla käydyistä asioista ei pääsääntöisesti tehdä erillistä materiaalipakettia etäoppimiskäyttöön. Toisin sanoen, oppilaat tekevät tarvittaessa muistiinpanoja tunnilla, ja poissaolo tilanteessa oppilas on itse velvollinen selvittämään tunnin sisällön (esimerkiksi kysymällä ryhmän muilta opiskelijoilta)

Tentit ja muut määräajat
- kurssitehtävät on palautettava ajallaan Learnin palautuskansioihin (tai erikseen ilmoitettavaan paikkaan)
- jos tehtävä ei palaudu ajoissa, tehtävä voidaan palauttaa kurssin lopussa. Tällöin tehtävästä ei kuitenkaan saa palautetta
- jos opiskelija on estynyt toimittamasta tehtäviä ajallaan, on mahdollisesta lykkäyksestä neuvoteltava opettajan kanssa hyvissä ajoin
- jos kaikkia tehtäviä ei ole palautettu kurssin päättyessä tai erikseen sovittuun päivämäärään mennessä, kurssisuoritus arvioidaan palautettujen tehtävien perusteella (pääsääntöisesti 70% palautuksista ja mahdolliset lopputyöt vaaditaan läpipääsyyn). Jos kurssin päättyessä riittäviä tehtäviä ei ole palautettu, voi oppilas palauttaa kaikki tehtävät 1 vuoden sisällä kurssin päättymisestä erikseen sovittuna ajankohtana. Tällä on kuitenkin laskeva vaikutus pisteytykseen eikä tehtävistä anneta erillistä palautetta
Opiskelijan työmäärä
Luokassa opiskelija osallistuu tehtäviin harjoituksiin, ja saa säännöllistä palautetta ja apua. Luokkajan ulkopuolella opiskelija suorittaa itsenäisesti kotitehtäviä.

- Illustraattorin perusteet (shapes, pen tool, pathfinder, shape builder, liukuvärit, kuviot, väripaletit, artboardit, kuvien jäljentäminen yms.)
- Indesignin perusteet (sivuasetukset, masterit/parentit, paragraph styles, fontit, tulostus-/julkaisuasetukset, taitto, kuvatyökalut yms.)
- Photoshopin perusteita (valintatyökalut, maskaus, layerit, tehostelayerit yms.)
- erilaiset kuvaformaatit
- vektori- ja rasterigrafiikan erot
- tulostuksessa ja digitaalisessa julkaisussa huomioonotettavat asiat

If you have acquired prior learning in the subject (fully/partially), contact the teacher in charge prior the course to discuss whether you have the competence required and what are the methods of demonstrating that competence. If you are unable to attend all the classes due to other courses, you are required to complete the learning assignments independently.
Work-based learning route
You need to contact the course teacher prior the course to agree on development assignments that you will perform at your work place. You are required to prove your learning both in theory and practice by giving a presentation at Game Design show and tell day.

Opiskelija osallistuu viikottaisille tunneille, ja tekee kunkin tunnin teeman mukaisesti mahdollisesti lisänä annettavat kotitehtävät. Lisäksi kurssilla suoritetaan yksi suurempi harjoitus.Kokonaistyömäärä vastaa viittä (5) opintopistettä.

Objective
After successfully completing the course, you:
- know the basics of InDesign and layout
- know the basics of Illustrator and are able to produce vector graphics
- understand different file formats and their usage
- are able to make layouts and use images in your publications
- are able to produce print and digital ready files and are familiar with different printing techniques
- are able utilise software tools that make the workflow more efficient
Content
How to do layouts and vector based illustrations?
How to select the appropriate typography, colour profile and paper?
How to save a file in an appropriate file format and manage files between applications?
How to select the appropriate tools and methods for each task?
In Fashion and Costume Design it is important to command the composition with the help of programmes: a piece of clothing, a human being + moodboard = visual presentations.

Learning route based on a working week
You will attend teaching and guidance sessions as specified in the schedule. Your study routine is determined by the scheduled group sessions and by the self-study assignments.
Learning route that accelerates the studies
If you have acquired prior learning in the subject (fully/partially), contact the teacher in charge prior the course to discuss whether you have the competence required and what are the methods of demonstrating that competence. If you are unable to attend all the classes due to other courses, you are required to complete the learning assignments independently.
Work-based learning route
You need to contact the course teacher prior the course to agree on development assignments that you will perform at your work place. You are required to prove your learning both in theory and practice by giving a presentation at Game Design show and tell day.
