Objective

To understand basics of adhesive joining and the basic properties of adhesives and understanding of damage mechanisms. To have knowledge of typical adhesive types and their uses. I can take into account the strength of the adhesive bond / sustainability factors. I understand the requirements of design, testing and other relevant factors, related for joining when applied in industrial use.

What is the glue joint, and how does it work? What factors affect the strength of the adhesive joint, as well as sustainability and how they are taken into account? When should I use the glue joints? What are the key considerations in adhesive joint design and use?
