Course material

Study material is given on the Learn platform in the form of text documents and links, and audio and video links. Due to copyright restrictions, some of the material may only be available during classroom exercise.

Study forms and methods

This implementation is structured and scheduled around weekly classroom exercise and independent learning tasks.

• The student must achieve at least a 51-percent attendance record in classroom exercise (i.e. attend more than half of the scheduled classes).
• On some tasks, students receive personal feedback, on some other tasks they receive general feedback, and some tasks are simply marked as completed.
• To earn the credits, the student must complete all mandatory assignments, take the exam, give a presentation on a field-specific topic, and achieve the required attendance in classroom exercise.
• In all, there are four mandatory assignments, and the deadlines are scheduled at regular intervals until the end of the course.

For a justified reason, you can apply for recognition of competence for this course . Related instructions are available on Lux.

RDI and work-related cooperation

None.

Timing of exams and assignments

The completion of the course requires that the student passes the exam. The exam takes place in the last scheduled lesson. The exam becomes available via Learn, but it must be taken in the classroom in supervised conditions.

Student workload

The student's maximum workload during a 3-credit course equals 81 hours. In effect, the amount of work depends e.g. on the prior English skills level and knowledge of field-specific vocabulary. The total number of classroom exercise sessions is usually 8.
