Having completed the study unit the studentknows need-, resource- and functionality-based thinking of wellbeing researchunderstands the normative, relative, subjective, situational and contextual parts and challenges of the definition of wellbeingis able to observe the wellbeing of the inhabitants of various ages of a municipality as the strategic basis of social work and services

Main wellbeing theories. Normative definition of wellbeing, happiness.Relativeness, subjectivity, situationism and contextualism of wellbeing, challenges in definition and measuring.Wellbeing strategies and regional wellbeing as research targets.
