Objective

You manifest your ability to apply research knowledge and to use justified methods when analyzing and solving work life problems, as well as prove your expertise for demanding tasks. You can carry out your Master’s thesis independently as a working life oriented research process in which you plan, carry out, report and evaluate your research and publish the outcomes of your Master’s thesis. You can evaluate existing research and development knowledge in a critical, constructive and ethically correct manner. You can act proficiently and competently in scientific seminars, adhering to the principles of scientific communication. You manifest your knowledge of your field of study as well as good command of Finnish or Swedish in the maturity test.

How do you define a research-based development topic for your Master’s thesis and how do you write the proposal for your thesis process? How do you find previous research for your Master’s thesis and how do you use it for a research proposal? How do you make the methodological choices for your Master’s thesis and how do you justify them? How do you carry out your research-based developing process according to research ethical principles? How do you report and publish the results of your thesis and other possible outcomes? What are the principles and practices in Master seminars?
