Objective
After completing the course, the students willbe able to manage in simple everyday situations,will have an expanded command of phrases and vocabulary from various fields,be familiar with wide variety of basic grammatical features in Finnish language,be able to use quite fluently their skills in real-life situations both orally and literally,be able to expand their vocabulary and knowledge of language usage from different sources independently.In the core competence are included intercultural adaptability and internationalization competence.

Evaluation
The targets of the assessment are described in the implementation of the course.
Scale: Excellent (5), good (4 - 3), pass (2 - 1), fail (0). Grades 3 - 5 require language skills in the European A2 level.
Active participation in the tuition is a prerequisite for passing the course. Active participation means the following:
The student attends 75% of the amount of contact lessons unless the course implementation informs otherwise. The language lecturers record attendances in attendance registers. A course that is failed due to too many absences cannot be resat by retaking the exam. Instead, the student has to attend the course again.
The student makes sure that they have the study material (e.g. the textbook) specified in the curriculum.
The student takes part in the activities instructed by the lecturer in the contact lessons.
The student completes the given homework according to the lecturer's instructions and on time.
The course will be evaluated focusing on
five tests or an exam (50 % of the entirety's assessment)
oral presentations and conversations (25 % of the entirety's assessment)
active participation on lessons and activity with homework (25 % of the entirety's assessment)
The feedback will be given by the teacher both orally and literally.
