Osaamistavoitteet

After the course the student should be able to apply mathematical knowledge and skills in professional studies of business and administration and later on in working life use the logical deduction in solving economic problems estimate the consequences of economic decisions solve financial and investment problems - calculate financial problems using Excel  use economic data for evaluating changes and for monitoring trends

Metric system, conversion between different systems, ratios, proportion and percentages, business applications of percentages (commission, value added tax, tax calculations), currency/exchange rates, simple interest, compound interest Annuities with applications, basic calculations for financing of investments, index numbers
