Objective

After the successful completion of the study unit, students: Population Health and Service Systems: know the main concepts of national health science and have mastered the basics of epidemiological research know the population's health problems and the recent developments in health perceive social and health policy as part of social policy and understand its decision making system know the central regulations of social and health care know how the social and health services function and know how to direct the client to receive them understand activities supporting social and health services   First Aid and Health Care in Unusual Conditions: are able to act in an emergency situation are able to prevent accidents recognize a traumatic reaction and are able to support it know the basics of hospital resuscitation know how to react to disorders in usual and unusual situations The Finnish Red Cross Organization's course II in first aid is included in the study unit. A certificate (for which there is a charge), is provided on request. Infection Control: know the concepts and legislation related to infection control understand the meaning of infections in relation to the care of individuals, the community, and society know  the current incidence of infections worldwide
