Research Methods and ReportingLaajuus (5 cr)

Objective

You will learn to use different kind of a research- and development methods needed during your studies and in development and research work. You get familiar with the main qualitative and quantitative research methods and learn how to use different data collection and analyzing methods. You will also understand the basics of the statistical data processing and the most common computing methods. Your ability to read and analyse critically statistical data will increase. Your Finnish and English reporting and communication skills needed in the research and development will be developed.

Content

What kind of a quantitative research methods exists and how they can be utilized in the field of study? How do I plan, write and present clear reasearch report? What kind of a tools and methods exist to analyse numerical data and how the reliability of data will be assured? What are the sources of data needed?
