Objective

Students can work efficiently in English in professional spoken and written communication situations. Students can pay attention to the different requirements of different communication situations.

Content

What are the communication situations of the ICT field and what kind of English skills do they require? How to communicate efficiently in English both in spoken and written work-related situations? How to communicate appropriately in different situations?

Assessment criteria, good (3)

a) Students can use English professional vocabulary and concepts in an expert way in different communication situations. d) Students can communicate in spoken and written English in a goal-oriented way with customers, users and target groups. f) Students can promote team's goal-oriented operation through English communication. In addition to the UAS students’ skill levels used at Mamk, the assessment of English studies relies on the competence levels defined in The Common European Frame of Reference and the national skill level descriptions that are based on the European framework.
