Objective

Students can use the main business vocabulary in both oral and written communication situations. Students can look for information in the texts of their professional field and apply that in communication situations. Students can act in an interactional and goal-oriented way in study and work-related communication situations.

Content

What main professional vocabulary will students need? How can one look for and apply information in the professional texts? How are professional texts drawn up? How does one act in oral communication situations? How to communicate in studying and work communities?

Qualifications

Attending the course requires Swedish skills enabling academic studies.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

a) Students can systematically use the main vocabulary of their professional field. b) Students can look for information in the main sources of their professional field. d) Students can work together with customers and with other target groups. Evaluation of Swedish language studies in universities of applied sciences is based on the recommendations of the KORU-project (Developing the commensurability of Swedish language study attainments in universities) and the skill level description supplements to those.
