Objective
You understand the structure and functions of a PC, and you know how to to correct or improve the operation of computer by changing or adding the components. You know the function of PC peripheral devices (such as monitors and printers) so that you are able to select a suitable computer setup. You can install Windows and Linux on a workstation, you can create user-profiles and you can use operating system administration tools. You can install utility and data security software that are needed in a normal work station.

What kind of function blocks there are in a PC and how PC operates internally? What kind of components can be added or changed in a PC? What kind of peripheral devices can be connected to a PC and how do they work? How operating system works and how Windows is installed and how Linux is installed? What kind of settings and adjustments are needed so that the operating systems would serve the user in the best possible way? What kind of programs a normal desktop usually requires? How are these programs installed? What is included in the maintenance of PCs and is it done?
