Objective

The student understands the basics of digital technology, the basic logic gates, and simple arithmetic-logic units in operation. In addition, students will be able to use Boolean algebra, as well as other tools to simplify phrases. Students will also understand the microprocessors working principles.

Content

Numbering systems, binary arithmetic, basic gates, logic functions, Boolean algebra, combinatorial logic, simplification of expressions, Karnaugh'n map, integrated circuits, flip-flops, sequence logic, registers, counters, ALU, microprocessor, memory, buses, assembly.

Assessment scale: Excellent (5), good (4-3), satisfactory (2-1), fail (0)
