Objective

After completing this course the student knows how to manipulate files with some common languages in some common environments. Student understands the basic operating principles of database management systems (DBMS), knows how to design a relational database, normalize it, and use the SQL query language to create, manage and control a database. Student knows about other kind of databases: some NoSQL databases.

Content

File manipulation with C++ programs, relational databases, designing database, SQL, indices, views, privileges, introduction to NoSql.
