Objective
After completing the course students will be able to evaluate small business local area networks for the design of major general cabling and LAN standards, the role of the design work and is able to produce a plan of the small business LAN cabling. In addition, the student is able to classify the most important active equipment for local area networks and is aware of their role in acting as part of the local network and in this way he/she is able to choose the appropriate features within the devices and assign them the required IPv4 address as part of its planned corporate network. Also, the basics of IPv6 addresses are known. In making plans and in documenting student will be able to use the necessary software (eg MS Visio). Students are also able to apply what they have learned in small-scale laboratory exercises.
Content
A small company LAN function and design principles based on the OSI layer model, including the common cabling standards, the structure of cabling, a switched local area network active equipment selection, and the VLAN and IP address spaces and the design of the company's local area network based services.
