Objective

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to carry out security solutions using network security appliances. The student will be able to utilize network security appliances to fulfil the given network security policy.

Content

•Security policies, implementation and management •Router and firewall hardware deployment, configuration and maintenance •AAA methods •VPN solutions •IDS systems The content includes the Cisco Network Academy CCNA Security-material and covers the required skills for the corresponding Cisco CCNA-Certificate.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The achievement of the learning outcomes will be measured primarily by timed skills test which must be completed by each student. Each student will build a routed network in the networking technology's learning laboratory. After the completion of given tasks at each stage, the student is allowed to move on to the the next step. The achievement of the learning outcomes will also be measured by a web-based multiple-choice module and final exams. Assessment scale: Excellent (5), good (4-3), satisfactory (2-1), fail (0)
