Objective

Upon completition of  the course the student is aware of the OSI reference model. He/she is able to identify the most important protocols used in different OSI layers, as well as their role in the transition of information from the sender to the recipient. Student is able to name the most important equipments of local networks and know their roles and is able to do configurations needed in the laboratory. In addition, the student has a clear understanding of routers and routing protocols, as well as operation of IPv4 addresses, subnets of different sizes. Student is also able to make connections between necessary equipments in laboratory and calculate the required subnets of IPv4 address spaces, as well as to determine to devices their proper addresses. Course topics well embraced students are able to carry out an international Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA ™) certification.
