Objective

After the successful completion of the course, students will be able to:-   be familiar with the tools and materials of textile printing and dyeing. He is also familiar with the special fabric printing techniques.-   apply their knowledge and skills in the design and manufacture of fabrics-   be able to long-term development of the product idea independently and in groups (combined with CAD programs).-   take into account the intended use of the product, as well as aesthetic, ecological and economic aspects when choosing the materials, processes and techniques.

Content

-   differences between industrial and hand-printed materials and work equipments-   basic techniques of fabric printing and using the pigment colors-   dyeing and decoration the fabric with reaction colors-   through various experiments, the student learns about the potential for textiles-   pattern design manual and with computer-   fitting to the report-   preparation and use of the serigraphy sieve -   the use of the dispersion colors and introduction to the sublimation printing -   special methods of textile patterning and decoration

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The assessment focus is on the learning process, working with the topic deepening and producing new things. Excellent grade required to issue thorough dedication. A good rating may be diligent conclusion. Satisfactory rating becomes a simple task carried out.Accepted completion requires active participation in lectures and 80 % in guided exercises and self-experiments and assignments carried out.Exercises: -   plenty of technique experiments-   two pieces of fabric: printed fabric and with free techniques executed e.g. as canvas reaction colors painting. Excellent (5), good (3 to 4), fair (2 to 1), fail (0)
