Objective

After the successful completion of the course, students will be able to:-   use and maintain sewing and ironing machines and equipment’s-   understand the importance of professional techniques in fashion design and manufacture-   identify the basic structures and details of the clothing, and be able to design rules of procedure of garments -   exercise to use custom tables and sizing systems-   define the size and body type of the person with the help of the measurements of a person-   identify modelling systems and take the measurements of a person-   know how to draw basic patterns with personal measurements-   picture the influence of the shapes and measurements of the body to the shape of the pattern and learn to mould the basic models-   manage the basics of the shaping -   evaluate their own and others working processes

Content

-   the use of various sewing machines and ironing appliances-   symbol markings in sewing technical drawing-   women's apparel size chart N-2001 system sizing-   taking measurements and body types-   drawing the basic pattern of skirt, pants and dress, making a prototype and fitting-   basics of shaping -   exercises of moulding and professional techniques -   exploration and design of clothes structures-   economic cutting plans

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The evaluation draws attention to the regular and active participation in classroom teaching and the completion of assignments. In addition, in the assessment impacts the student's activity, motivation and the ability of practical application of learned things. The evaluation will be used self-assessment, peer review and feedback from the lecturer. The course includes plenty of exercises.The assessment focus is on the learning process, working with the topic deepening both producing new things and applying knowledge and skills.
