Objective

Following the successful completion of this study unit, students will be able to adapt in practise basic mathematical knowledge to use logical deduction to solve problems of economics to utilize a spreadsheet as an instrument to help with calculation and demonstration to solve problems concerning investments and finance

Business applications of percentages tax calculations gross margin calculations index numbers, currency calculations business applications of simple and compound interest annuities with applications calculations for financial investments

The evaluation scale used is Excellent (5), Good (3-4), Satisfactory (1-2), Fail (0). The evaluation is based on knowledge, skills and their application.
