Objective

Students improve their overall language skills to gain sufficient competence for field-specific English courses. If a student's overall level is B1.1 or lower according to the entry level test, they are instructed to participate in the Preparatory Course. After successful completion of this study unit, the student: is able to assess their own learning and choose a suitable learning method is familiar with suitable language tools (e.g. online dictionaries, search engines, proofreading functions) can use the basic structures of language can pronounce in an intelligible manner can talk about familiar topics coherently can briefly give their opinions and plan. Is able to prepare and deliver a simple verbal presentation about a familiar topic coherently can make good use of basic vocabulary can express their thoughts in writing using clear and simple text that is easily understood
