Basic Russian 2 (A2)Laajuus (5 cr)

Objective

The students understands and uses verbally and in writing the Russian language at skill level A2. They understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance. They can communicate in simple and routine situations. The students: can leave and understand simple personal messages can describe their holiday give a toast can talk on the phone is familiar with different literal sources and their styles can manage in different service situations, eg.  on the phone, at a restaurant, in a shop can talk about studies and work describe their cultural intertests  

Content

The study unit contains communication situations and vocabulary at skill level A2 :      writing a message (a short letter, cards, e-mail) longer and  more demanding sentences verbs: present tense, future adjectives nouns aspects toasts, small talk in eating and drinking situations brochures,advertisments, timetables telephone phrases working and studying terminolgy  

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The targets of the assessment are described in the implementation of the course. Scale: Excellent (5), good (4-3), pass (2-1),  fail (0). Grades 3-5 require language skills in the European A1 level. Active participation in the tuition is a prerequisite for passing the course. Active participation means the following:   the student attends 75% of the amount of contact lessons unless the course implementation informs otherwise.  The language lecturers record attendances in attendance registers. A course that is failed due to too many absences cannot be resat by retaking the exam. Instead, the student has to attend the course again. the student makes sure that they have the study material (e.g. the textbook) specified in the curriculum. the student takes part in the activities instructed by the lecturer in the contact lessons. the student completes the given homework according to the lecturer's instructions and on time.
