Objective

You will know how to use mechanics terms correctly to solve physical problems in mechanics and techniques both theoretically and experimentally. You know the basic chemistry terms and calculations. You can apply your chemical knowledge in your own field of professional studies and working life.

Content

You will study phenomena and laws of nature in mechanics and learn the definitions of different quantities used in mechanics. You will learn to use the SI-units. In addition, you develop your scientific thinking by applying different laws and equations to solve physical problems in mechanics and techniques. You will also learn to measure different quantities in laboratory, to treat the measurement data and to report the results. You will learn the most important chemical quantities, units, definitions and laws of nature. You will know the structure and properties of the substances, different types of chemical reactions. You will learn the inorganic and organic compounds and you will know how they are divided into groups and named.
