Objective

You know bio-based material groups and their properties and production processes. You have the knowledge to become the expert and ability to act in activities in the product development. You can apply bio-based materials, knowledge of materials in product design and product manufacturing environmental and economic aspects.

What are bio-based materials? What are the bio-based materials manufacturing and production methods? How materials handling processes affect the environment? What are the economic aspects of the processed materials?
