Intensive Course in SwedishLaajuus (3 cr)

Objective

Students revise the basics and key structures of Swedish that are most relevant in the communication situations of working life and different professions. Students study the use of different tools for learning Swedish and improve their skills in studying languages.

Content

What are the key structures of Swedish needed at work? What kind of tools can be used when studying Swedish? How to develop skills in learning languages?

Qualifications

Attending the course requires Swedish skills enabling academic studies.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

a) Students can make use of the key structures of Swedish both in spoken and written language. b) Students can look for information relating to the Swedish language. c) Students can choose tools that support their Swedish studies and personal methods of study and use them efficiently. In addition, the assessment of UAS language studies bases on The Common European Frame of Reference and the skill level descriptions drafted by the Finnish UAS’s for the assessment of Swedish.
