Objective

After the course you are able to:
- explain the typical power plant processes
- analyze power plant process and determine efficiencies and energy balances
- identify social and economic factors related to the operating and business environment of the energy sector.

Boiler processes and auxiliary equipment. Water-Steam circuit components. Power plant processes. Fuel handling. Legislation and safety guidelines for the design and use of boiler processes. Balance calculation, efficiency and acceptance tests, EN and ASME standards. Main boiler settings. Steam turbines, condensers and controls. Changes in energy industry field and future scenarios.
