Objective

Knowledge and understanding of and proficiency in:
- types of gas tankers and IGF ships, general arrangement and construction.
- basics of cargo and fuel systems and physical properties of liquefied gases.
- basics of cargo and bunkering operations.
- basics of the hazards and precautions associated with gas operations
- basics of hazard controls and pollution prevention
The course includes practical fire-fighting exercise at a certified fire training centre.

Teaching will be held as a two-day intensive session on campus during the scheduled times, and 100% attendance is mandatory for the course.
