Advanced RoutingLaajuus (5 cr)

Objective

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to design routed networks. Students will be able to implement a secure routed network in the learning laboratory. They will be able to manage various routing protocols and networking technologies for routed networks and be able to solve problem situations within the allotted time.

Content

IP- subnetworking, address translations, routing protocols: EIGRP, OSPF and BGP, route filtering, policy routing, multicasting, IPv6 protocol. The content includes the Cisco Network Academy CCNP-material (ROUTE) and covers the required skills for the corresponding Cisco CCNP-Certificate.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The achievement of the learning outcomes will be measured primarily by the individual and time-limited skill test. The student will build step by step a routed network in the learning laboratory of networking technology. After the completion of given tasks, the student is allowed to go on with the next step. The achievement of the learning outcomes will be measured secondarily by web-based multiple-choice module and final exams. Assessment scale: Excellent (5), good (4-3), satisfactory (2-1), fail (0)
