Osaamistavoitteet

You will learn the basics of hot water heating systems in buildings, their structure, functioning and operation. Main topic is hot water heating systems. (hydronic heating). You will also get preliminary skills to dimension and choose the space heating units and heat distribution piping. You will also learn to design and dimension the components and the equipment of the hot water heating system in buildings. In your decisions you take into account thermal comfort, health, total economy and environmental aspects. You get acquainted with the software of some component manufacturers.

Central topics of this course are: Heating systems in buildings. Main parts of hot water heating systems, their functioning and layout. Choosing of equipments. Space heating units / heat emitters. Networks and piping. Hydraulic balancing. Control devices. Heat sources. Expansion and safety devices. Fuels and burning.
