Objective
You can describe the totality of mental health care, psychiatric nursing and drug users care, which includes prevention, treatment and rehabilitation. You are able to describe psychiatric patients and drug users in different phases of the nursing process. You have ability to meet the psychiatric and drug users as well as his/her family members. You understand the effect of mental health and drug users problems to one’s and his/her family members well-being- You able to assess the psychiatric the psychiatric patient’s, crisis patient’s and drug user’s condition changes. You can use the key interventions of psychiatric- , crisis - and drug users care. You have the knowledge about the main psychiatric medication and their mechanism of actions.

What are the stages of traumatic crisis and it’s symptoms? How you help a person at different stages of crisis ? What are the most common psychiatric disorders and mental health as well as substance use problems? What are the most common symptoms of psychiatric disorders, research and treatment methods? What are the symptoms of most common mental health and substance abuse problems, research and treatment methods? What are the methods at drug users care and early intervention in nursing and workplaces? What is included in psychiatric patient and drug users care and the whole nursing process? How do you meet with psychiatric patient and drug user? What kind of nursing interventions you use? How do you use your own personality as a tool in psychiatric nursing? How do you carry out psychiatric patients and drug users medication?
