Objective

You are able: - to understand different viewpoints about principles of developing tourism and travel - to learn the factors which are having an effect on planning in different regional levels - to take advantage of the seasons and other regional strengths in planning of tourism supply - to link company level objectives of planning and development to the regional ones

Content

What kind issues and models there are in tourism planning and development? How to cope with different kind of private and public sector processes in regional tourism planning and development? How to utilize in sustainable way seasonality, nature and culture as pulling factors in product development? How the company level and regional level targets are related to each other?

You are able to: a. use professional vocabulary and concepts in an expert way in different situations. b. evaluate information sources critically. c. work as team member in working life expert duties and identify and describe the problems of the professional field. d. evaluate operations in customer, user and target group situations e. choose appropriate models, methods, software and techniques according to the purpose and justify these choices. g. apply critically the ethical principles of the professional field in different situations.
