Objective

The student will acquire basic knowledge of maintenance in general and also become familiarized with safe maintenance and repair procedures onboard. This will include preparing for and operations during periodical dockings as well as all the responsibilities involved in maintenance in co-operation with the Technical Department of Shipping Company. Shipyard pocedures are covered in general.

Content

Preliminary organization of safe maintenance and repair procedures during operation and planning, and organization of docking. Operations and responsibilities during docking. Preparation of maintenance and repair specifications. Division of responsibilities between different parties, rights and duties.
