Objective

The students can solve basic mathematical exercises with real numbers and are also familiar with the principles of geometry and geometrical exercises.
The students understand texts and solution strategies related to mathematical and logical reasoning. The students can also apply mathematics in basic physics and chemistry.

Content

The course focuses on working out solutions for numerical and word problems. The students are given a review of concepts and applications of mathematics in engineering. During the course, the students perform operations with and without an electronic calculator.

Student has achieved the course objectives fairly. Student is able to identify and use the course subject area’s concepts and understands the conditions of knowledge and skills development.

Student has achieved the course objectives well, even though the knowledge and skills need improvement on some areas. Student is able to use well the course concepts and to apply his/her knowledge in study and work situations. Student is able to analyze his/her own knowledge and skills.
